Sketches for Censorship Sculpture

Following the adaptation of my idea I began by developing some sketches that would solidify the direction my fragment could take.

While I thought that the present of fire brought life and action to the sculpture, this is probably unrealistic to capture.

I started experimenting with smoke and how to include it in my piece. Perhaps here is where burning paper and books would be the most effective as, like fire, smoke would be hard to capture in the sculpture. I feel that ashes or charred paper would make the the same impact and be more manageable substitute.
